The South Korean Red Cross today accepted a North Korean Red Cross counter-proposal to meet on September 20 at Panmunjom for prelinmary talks on the fate of an estimated 10 million Koreans separated since 1945, the Associated Press reported. Dr Choi Doo-sun, president of the South Korean Red Cross, accepted the North Korean suggestion in a letter he wrote to his North Korean counterpart, Mr Son Songpil. The text of the letter was released today. ' The South Korean Red Cross originally proposed September 28 as a date for the preliminary talks to discuss procedural matters for a full-fledged conference on the separated families.
