N.Z. raising $15m loan

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 6. The Government has completed negotiations for a loan of slsm, the Minister of Finance (Mr Muldoon) said today. The negotiations, with a consortium of banks headed by the Amsterdam-Rotterdam Bank of the Netherlands, were to raise a loan of up to 60m Dutch guilders by a private placement of notes. The terms of the loan were a 7j per cent coupon with an issue price of 99} for seven years. “This is New Zealand’s first operation on the Dutch capital market where there is a queue system," Mr Muldoon said. “Potential borrowers are very carefully screened for creditworthiness before they are permittedto join the queue."
