Brighton takes clear lead in basketball

Brighton took the lead for the first time this season In the Canterbury women’s indoor basketball Inter-club competition at Cowles Stadium last evening. It overtook United, which was held to a draw by Rex. Three weeks ago Brighton was four points behind United. Points are: Brighton 22, United and Checkers 21, University 17, Orients 14, Rex 11, Rangiora 8, Burnham 6, Rebels 0.
