STUDY OF U.N.
Mr R. J. Payne, of Orari, South Canterbury, has been selected by the United Nations Secretariat for a United Nations “interne” programme to be conducted at its headquarters in New York from August 2 to 27. .He is being sponsored by the New Zealand Government.
Mr Payne recently completed an M.A. in business administration at Michigan State University, on a Rotary Foundation graduate fellowship. He graduated bachelor of agricultural science from Lincoln College in 1969. The purpose of the interne programme is to provide an opportunity for an international group of university graduates to study at first hand the principles, purposes, and work of the United Nations and its agencies. Some 50 persons have been selected for this programme.
