Walker’s visit to Aust.
(N.Z. Press Association) WANGANUI. O. Warner, of Raetihi, the New Zealand champion and record holder for the 20-kilo-metre walk, has accepted an invitation from the Victorian Amateur Walking Club to compete, in the Australian Olympic‘trial race in Melbourne on September 18. A public appeal launched in Raetihi for money to send the wiry bushmen to Australia for his international debut has been over-subscribed by more than 100 per cent.
