Altitude record.—A Cessna aircraft operated jointly by Aero Surveys (New Zea. land), Ltd, of Tauranga, and Aerial Surveys, Ltd, of Nelson, is believed to have set a New Zealand altitude record for single-engined aircraft, 32,000 ft, on a recent working flight over the Southern Alps. The company made the announcement from Tauranga.
