‘Stowaway' aged three
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, June 18. A young Te Kulti boy went on an errand for his mother today, boarded the south-bound rail-car end ended up in Taumarunui, 4* miles away.
Gerrard Wi, aged three, was picked up at 730 p.m. by the police 'as the railcar pulled into the station. He had been discovered by passengers en route to TaumaninuL
Gerrard’s parents were told of bis trip by the police and travelled by taxi to Taumarunui to pick him up.
While waiting for his parents, Gerrard was wandering round the police station holding a pie he had bought in Te Kulti.
