"The Press” Special Service WANGANUI. The durable galloper, Whakamoa. retired last year, is expected to resume racing at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s Queen’s Birthday meeting next month. By Resurgent from Coshona, the nine-year-old Whakamoa was retired last year by his ownertrainer, Mr T. G. Fowler, because of suspensory ligament trouble. He made such a good recovery and was showing so much zest that Mr Fowler recommissioned him. Whakamoa, which has won 17 races, has been entered for sprints at Wanganui as a prelude to racing at Awapuni.
