CONTAINERS URGED
Japanese meat buyers (NJ!. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 10. A big, new market in chilled beef to Japan could be opened up if full container shipping was available from New Zealand, said a spokesman for a group of Japanese meat industry executives in Auckland today.
The Meat Board representative (Mr B. N. Leydon) said the grqup of 22 had shown special interest in chilled beef, but they were disappointed about the lack of container shipping to Japan. In comparison, Australia already had direct container shipping service to Japan.
