Golfers on trial
CN.I. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Members of the national golf selection panel will attend this year's North Island match-play championship at Whangarei and the South Island title at Timaru, the secretary of the New Zealand Golf Association (Mr D. G. Sutton) said yesterday. Both fixtures will be held, at Queen’s Birthday weekend, and Mr Sutton said that performances of players would have a considerable bearing on the national team to take part in the centennial tournament to be held at Auckland in October.
