Judo team’s manager
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The Dutch-bom judoka, J. Oosterman, is to be the coach and manager-player of the New Zealand judo team to contest the world championships in Germany later this year. Competitors already named are J. Phillips (middle-weight) and E. Masters (light middle-weight). Oosterman will contest the heavy-weight class. Representing New Zealand at the world championships in Brazil in 1965. Oosterman was tenth over-all.
Cancelled.—The amateur boxing match between the New Zealand feather-weight champion and Jameson Beit holder. P. Ryan (Oakura), and the Fljlui bantam-weight title-holder. P. Prasad, has been cancellad. Prasad had withdrawn from the bout because he would have conceded nearly a stone to the New . Zealander. I
