Papanui H.S. grant
A grant of $15,684 had been approved by the Department of Education for the improvement of administration accommodation at Papanui High School, said the chairman of the board of governors (Mr A. M. Shephard) yesterday. Included in the grant was finance for a new staff room and careers office, on which work would begin as soon as possible; Mr Shephard said. The board granted a request by the school’s principal (Mr E. Fancy) to purchase up to six adding machines for the canteen at the school.
