Newport, R.L next venue? (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyrights LONDON. A meeting in London next Monday will decide where the selection races will be held to choose a challenger for the 1973 America’s Cup series.
A spokesman for the Royal Thames Yacht Club, which has organised the meeting, said that the Australian clubs, the Royal Perth Yacht Club and the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, would not be represented at the meeting.
An observer would attend on behalf of the latter club and would report back to Australia on the outcome of the meeting. Representatives from three i French clubs and a Canadian club, however, will attend the meeting.
