Youth dies during run
A sixth-form pupil at Rangiora High School who had been competing in a cross country race was found dead beside a road near Rangiora at 3.15 p.m. yesterday. The police believe he collapsed. The youth was James Craig Hutchison, aged 16, son of Mr and Mrs E. Hutchison, of 32 Northbrook Road, Rangiora.
He was noticed beside Golf Course Road by two golfers. A Rangiora doctor who was called found him dead.
