N.Z. pianist arrives
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 28. The New Zealand-born pianist, Tessa Bimie, whose performances were acclaimed In Russia recently, has arrived to take part in the nation-wide keyboard festivals, which will begin in Christchurch on Wednesday. She spoke enthusiastically at the week-end of the festivals, especially about fellow pianist Karl Ulrich Schnabel’s part in it. She said Mr Schnabel was one of the world’s greatest teachers, and his visit would give teachers, students and music lovers an opportunity to see a great teacher in action, teaching some of the best talent available in New Zealand.
