Scholarships for pharmacists

(N.Z. Press Association) ROTORUA, March 28. The New Zealand Pharmaceutical Society has announced the award of four $lOOO scholarships to be used each year to help students through the school of pharmacy. The national president of the society (Mr W. A. Baylis) told the annual pharmacy conference at Wairakei today of the scholarships and announced the first four successful students. They are Misses M. Alcock (Auckland), C. McNabb (Lower Hutt), J. Tarrant (Stratford), and Mr M. Plimmer (Masterton).

The scholarships will be paid over the three years of the diploma in pharmacy course at the school of pharmacy in Petone. They are awarded on scholastic ability, suitability and need.
