Burped to record
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) AMES (Iowa). The Indiana swimming star, John Kinsella, sang and burped his way to an American record in the 1650-yard freestyle. Kinsella swam the distance in 15 minutes 26.5 seconds. The 18-year-old Indiana State University freshman said he sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and burped during the race. He won by 26 seconds over Southern California’s Tom Mcßreen. “I had too big a breakfast this morning and was burping bacon and eggs through the entire race,” Kinsella said.
