Otago Rugby selectors

(N Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. A member of the panel since 1967, Mr R. H. Bell, a former All Black, lost his place as an Otago Rugby selector when a ballot for places was held by the management committee of the Otago Rugby Football Union at its meeting last night. Mr Bell, who was one of the two metropolitan members of the three-man panel, lost his place to Mr E. J. Simpson, one of the five nominees for positions.

The other metropolitan member is Mr E. A. Watson, who has been an Otago selector and coach since 1962. The third member of the panel is the Otago Rugby sub-unions nominee, Mr G. Clarke. He replaces Mr W. C. Wilson, who did not seek re-election after a term of three years.
