Teachers to stop work
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, March 29. About 12,000 Victorian schoolteachers, angered by new regulations providing harsh penalties for striking schoolteachers, will stop work tomorrow. The Victorian Secondary Teachers’ Association has called a strike for tomorrow and Wednesday, but members of the Victorian Technical Teachers’ Association plan to join only tomorrow’s strike. The action of the union was discussed by the Victorian Cabinet today.
