TAIWAN’S PROTEST
(N.Z.P.A..Renter—Copyrig nt) TAIPEI, March 29. Taiwan today severed diplomatic relations with Kuwait in protest against the Gulf State’s establishment of formal ties with China. Kuwait is the fourth country to recognise Peking since Canada took the lead on October 13 of last year. Italy followed suit in November, and Chile in January. Taiwan’s policy is to break relations with countries that recognise China.
