SPEEDWAY TONIGHT
The New Zealand super-modi-fied rod championship, which was to have been held at the Templeton Speedway on Saturday night, was postponed because of rain.
It will be held thia evening Instead. “The track was quit, all right —it would have been good for racing," the secretary of the Christchurch Speedway Association (Mrs E. R. Lang) said. “It wouldn’t have been much fun for spectators, though,’’ she said. AU the drivers, including the top Auckland competitor, D. Jolly, agreed to the postponement. As weH as the championship, a fuU programme of midget car and motor-cycle events wUI 'be held.
