Surveys end in Taranaki
W.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 27. New Zealand Aquitaine Petroleum, Ltd, has completed its latest series of surveys in the Taranaki area, a spokesman for the firm said. Crews had been working in the Urenui, Rahotu. Stratford and Hawera areas for the last three months, on three separate surveys. Another survey in the Greymouth area was also completed in the period. The agreement provides that Aquitaine may earn a 50 per cent interest in a substantial part of Shell, BP, and Todd’s petroleum exploration areas by conducting an exploration programme over a period of two years. A spokesman for Aquitaine, said in Brisbane that results from the surveys were being evaluated.
