Mysore rule taken over

(N.Z.P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) NEW DELHI, Mar. 28. The Central Government in New Delhi has taken over the administration of the southern state of Mysore, where no party has been able to form a government. Mysore was one of two state governments controlled by the Congress faction opposed to the Prime Minister (Mrs Gandhi), but it resigned earlier this month when several of its members defected after the landslide victory for Mrs Gandhi’s faction in the General Elections. With the imposition of Presidential rule, the Mysore Legislative Assembly is suspended. West Bengal is the other Indian state under central control.
