How to park a motor-cycle
Sir, —"Observer” obtained some useful information about the parking of motorcycles and scooters. I wish to ask a further question. Is it permissible for these vehicles to be parked beside stands provided for pedal cycles, in such a way that they occupy the space intended for one, two, or even three cycles?— Yours, etc., J. F. McCAHON.
March 17, 1971. [The City Engineer (Mr P. G. Scbular) replies: “Cycle standards are intended for the exclusive use of pedal cycles. There is a growing demand for places to park motor-cycles, and the possibility of providing additional spaces for these vehicles—with the right to park at right angles to the kerb—is being investigated.”]
