Fines urged for trainers
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright > SYDNEY. Fines should be imposed on trainers who become too excited over a referee’s decision the former world featherweight boxing champion, J. Famechon, says. Famechon, who has taken up refereeing since his retirement from the ring, said: “Some trainers are becoming real prima donnas.” He said that either a suspension or a fine should be given to trainers who abused a referee after a fight. “Some really get upset when one of their boys doesn’t get his hand raiseda trainer spat at me in Melbourne when his boy lost,” he said.
