Blood gifts at Wigram

The North Canterbury blood transfusion service’s mobile unit met “an extremely good response" at the Royal New Zealand Air Force base at Wigram yesterday when the unit made a visit to re-establish a blood donor panel. The secretary of the service (Mr A. T. Sindlen) said he was very pleased with the result. Blood was given by 131 persons, mostly station staff, and for most of the donors it was the first time they had given blood. Donors included the station commander (Wing Commander R. A. Mclndoe). Mr Sindlen expressed appreciation of the assistance given by the Air Force staff.
