Approval for public
(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Mar. 24. Parliament has now approved the Local Bills Committee investigation of the Christchurch City (Reserves) Empowering Bill being open to the public. The committee will resume its sittings as soon as the required time has elapsed after the advertising of the Christchurch City Council’s amending legislation. It is likely that the City Council’s representatives, and some witnesses, will be summoned to Wellington first, and that the committee will then visit Christchurch for a three-day hearing. The committee’s deliberations may not be completed until well into May.
