100,000th MEMBER
(N.Z. Press Association? WELLINGTON, March 24. The Southern Cross Medical Care Society, which says it is New Zealand’s first and largest non-profit voluntary health insurance organisatiori, today reached 100,000 members. The society’s general secretary (Mr P. A. Smith), announced that Mr D. L. Stubbs, a pilot, of Howick, was the 100,000 th member. A function tonight would mark the occasion and a presentation would be made by the Minister of Education (Mr Taiboys), he said. Southern Cross was formed in 1961.
