It is followed by a cool southerly airstream. Forecast: Canterbury.—Moderate cool southerlies, cloudy at first, with a few light showers in the morning; bright intervals increasing later, cool. Kaikoura coast and the Marlborough Sounds.—Fresh to strong southerlies, slowly decreasing; cloudy and cool, with scattered light showers clearing from the south in the afternoon. Central Marlborough and Nelson.—Moderate south-east winds; fine and cool. Buller and Westland.—Moderate southeast winds; cloud and light showers, soon clearing; moderate temperatures. Outlook.—Fine.
