Schoolgirl’s fast swim
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright.) SYDNEY. The Australian schoolgirl swimming star, Shane Gould, yesterday broke one minute for 100 metres freestyle for the second day in succession. Hie 14-year-old swam 59.9 seconds yesterday, o.2sec slower than the Australian junior record which she set on Tuesday. She has joined the former Olympic champion, Miss D. Fraser, as the only Australian woman to break the minute.
