Obituary
Mr H. A. Foy (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON March 24. Mr H. A. Foy, who died in Wellington recently, aged 70, was for 20 years director of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture. From 1952 until his death he was one of the two Government members of the Dairy Board.
In 1917, he- joined the dairy division in Wellington as a cadet. From 1936 to 1940, Mr Foy was the assistant inspector of dairy products in London and acquired extensive knowledge of the British market requirements for New Zealand butter and cheese. During the first year of World War II he was a member of the British Ministry of Food and Products quality control panel which reviewed the quality of all dairy products arriving in Britain. Mr Foy is survived by his wife.
