$5291 A YEAR
Seamen in ferries (N.Z. Preee Aeeeeiatim) WELLINGTON, March 24. Seamen employed on a 21trip weekly schedule in the engine-rooms of the interisland ferries will receive $5291 a year under an aggregate wage agreement signed today by the Seamen’s Union and the Union Steam Ship Company. If the present schedule is increased to 25 trips a week the aggregate wage will be increased to $5512 a year. The new agreement provides for a swinger system of one week on, one week off, and the employment of seven more motormen.
