(From Our Own Reporter) WESPORT. Mrs Ella Matthews, who died at Westport on Friday, was best known for her knowledge of Buller history. Her book, “Yesterdays in ; Golden Buller,” produced in ' 1957, was the result of many I hours of research and is re- ’ garded as a most valuable > edition covering, as it does, every aspect of life in that area. f A member of the well t known Wall family, she was , a native of the Buller and i was engaged at school teachj ing for a good portion of her . life.
