Supreme Court GRANT TO WIDOW
Provision from estate A claim under the Family Protection Act for greater provision from the estate of William Arthur Lattimore, a film exhibitor, by his widow, Doris Haynes Lattimore, was upheld by the Chief Justice (Sir Ricliard Wild) in the Supreme Court yesterday. His Honour ruled that Mrs Lattimore be given an additional lump sum of $5OOO and an annual grant of $3OOO instead of one of $l6OO provided for in the will of Mr Lattimore, who died in 1969. A claim for more from the estate by a daughter, Joy Margaret Mac Duff, .failed. The net estate was valued at more than $90,000. Messrs A. D. Holland and A. F. Shaw appeared for Mrs Lattimore, Mr G. W. Rountree for Mrs Mac Duff, Mr J. F. Bum for the Perpetual Trustees’ Estate and Agency Company, Ltd, as trustee, and Messrs M. C. Gresson, C. E. Purchase, S. G. Erber and C. R. Harman for the other parties involved. Decree nisi granted On an undefended divorce petition . presented to Mr Justice Macarthur in the Supreme Court yesterday, Hugh Charles Oldman, a storeman (Mr B. J. Drake), was granted a decree nisi against Iris Eileen Oldman (Mr P. L. Mortlock) on the ground of desertion.
