UNSEEDED WINNERS

Singapore table tennis (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SINGAPORE. Two unseeded pairs reached the mixed doubles semi-finals at the Commonwealth table tennis championships yesterday. They were the Australians, C. Wuvanich and Vicki Woodward, and the English pair, A. Clayton and Karenza Mathews. Both knocked out seeds in the quarter-finals. The others through to the last four were the top seeds, A. Hydes and Pauline Piddock (England), and Soong Poh Wah and Ong Mool Mool (Malaysia).

Tomlinson and Y. Fogarty, 21-16, 21-23, 21-11. 21-16; and Soong Poh Wah and Ong Mool Mool beat G. B. Murphy and N. Traill, 21-16, 21-16, 12-21, 21-18.
