Pigeon racing
Fine weather from the northern race point* gave the young birds the opportunity to home at speeds of 48 and 58 mUes an hour. J. Bond, of Bryndwr, won both the flock and pairs races in convincing fashion.
The fastest velocity of the season—l 723 yards a minute (58 mUes an hour)—was achieved by J. MUlar*s bird from the Canterbury club’s Kalkoura race.
