Greyhounds
W. Kingston had another good day by winning two of the five races held at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s meeting at the Marshland Domain. He won the 250 yards open sprint race by two lengths with Safin King and another of his dogs, Radara’s Night, won the 445 yards Puppy Stakes after the only other starter, Prince Rebel, was scratched because of a leg injury. Results were:— Open sprint—2so yards: Satin King (W. Kingston), 1; Top Cat (S. Taylor), 2. Time: 16.2. Puppy stakes.—44s yards, 12-18 months: Radara’s Night (W. Kingston), 1; Prince Rebel scratched. Time: 27.0. Sapling stakes.—2so yards, 9-12 months: Apache II (S. Gane), 1; Polaris (B. Cantwell), 2; Peach Melba (Mrs S. Gray and C. Eden), 3. Time: 17.1.
Novice flat—44s yards: Keenset (Mrs S. Gray), 1; Tojo 18. Kingston), 2; Aquanlta (G. Kingston), 3. Time: 25.6. Open flat—44s yards: Top Cat (S. Taylor), 1; Windjammer (D, Kingston). 2; Aquatie (W. Kingston), 3. Time: 265.
