‘Dead’ husband found alive

(N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) MELBOURNE, March 21. A husband who was believed to have committed suicide in England has been found by the police in Melbourne, living with a South American woman. He is Mr Robert Bailey, aged 37. the father of four young children. He disappeared on January 7, and clothing and a briefcase belonging to him were later found on a riverbank in Essex. Mr Bailey’s wife, Enid, aged 35, received a note from him at her home in Hertfordshire, saying that he was committing suicide because he had cancer and could not face the suffering. Bailey was found in Melbourne after a six-week-long international investigation involving British, Peruvian and Australian detectives. ,
