OBITUARY
Mr W. S. Hindmarsh Mr Walter Scott Hindmarsh, who was well known in Dunedin swimming circles and in Christchurch, where he lived for many years, died in Christchurch last For 25 years he was assistant custodian at the Moray Place, swimming pool, Dunedin, and during this time he was a keen swimming and life-saving instructor. A veteran of World War I, Mr Hindmarsh at the outbreak of World War II told Army authorities that he was 45 years old and it was not until he got to Egypt that he was found to be 10 years older. He was invalided back to Dunedin, where he worked until his re' rement in 1952.
He is survived by a son and a daughter.
