FRAZIER WARNED
‘Might have a stroke’ (N Z. Press Assn—Copyright) NEW YORK. The world heavy-weight champion, Joe Frazier, was. quoted yesterday as saying he submitted to going into hospital and to have organic tests by a warning he might have a stroke, Associated Press reported. Frazier, in a telephone interview with Dick Young of the New York "Daily News,” said he was confident he will be given a medical clearance and plans to defend his title again this year, against Cassius Clay or anyone else “if he don’t want it” "I’ll climb back into the ring in another five to seven months, as far as I can see,” Frazier said. Young's story said that Frazier spoke from the apartment of Dr James Giuffre, director of St Luke’s hospital in Philadelphia. Frazier has been having tests there. The apartment is in the hospital.
