Cyclist in collision
A 62-year-old cyclist was killed on Saturday night, when he was in collision with a car in Blenheim Road. He was
David McGuigan, of 8 Bell Street, Addington.
Christchurch police said that Mr McGuigan was cycling north on Blenheim Road when the accident occurred, about 10.20 p.m. The driver of the car, Mr lan Madeley, of Burnham Camp, was admitted to Christchurch Public Hospital suffering from concussion and lacerations; his condition yesterday was described as satisfactory. Three passengers in the car, Messrs H. Emery, A. G. Le Prou, and E. J. Heaton, all lof Bumham Camp, were treated for minor injuries at the hospital and discharged.
