WELLINGTON, Feb 24.
New Zealand was a good, steady market for whisky and gin, said Major D. A. Blair, chairman of the export committee of the Distillers Company, Ltd, of Britain. New Zealanders drink a quarter of a million gallons of whisky every year, he said. Major Blair is in New Zealand on a three-week tour of gin and whisky distributing firms.
Major Blair will meet the Prime Minister (Sir Keith Holyoake) on Friday before leaving for Christchurch.
