S.I. Welsh Corgi League’s championship show

An English judge, Mrs Dickie Albin, recognised as one of tbe world’s top authorities on the Welsh corgi, made the imported dog Crocket of Wey, owned by B. R. and Mrs Hyde, of Christ, church, best In show when the South Island Welsh Corgi League held its annual championship show at Deans Bush. His success at the show gave him his final point needed to become a New Zealand champion. Before coming to New Zealand, Crocket of Wey had been successfully shown in England, where he qualified for his junior warrant Best bitch and reserve best In show was P. R. and Mrs Smith’s King’s Ride Cherquita, who won the best in show award two years ago. A North Islander, Mrs W. M. Mason's Ral-ley Park Duke, which had been best dog puppy, was entered in the junior class also, and went on to be best junior in the show.
