Riccarton avenges earlier loss
Rlccarton avenged its first round loss bv beating Wallabies, 8-4, during the twelfth round of the senior table tennis competition last night. J. Armstrong led his Riccarton team with three good singles wins, although he was extended to a close deciding game by G. W. Makinson. For Wallabies, N. B Radford played well to beat R. W. Mercer and W. Adamson. With only two matches left to play, University is in an almost unbeatable position, holding a four-point lead on the competition table. Its latest win was over Dallington, 11-1. The sole scorer for Dallington was R. G. Hart, who beat A. Rutledge in a close contest. The other matches resulted in comfortable wins for Avonside II and Avonside I.
