S.A. tour by softballers?

WELLINGTON, Feb. 14.
The New Zealand Softball Association is to give "serious consideration” to an offer to tour South Africa early next year. The invitation is for New Zealand to send “a fully representative” team. Tile invitation was discussed at a meeting of the council of the Softball Association in Wellington yesterday. • , The South African administration had asked that New Zealand send a team either before or after the world championships in the Philip- | pines next February. | The president of the association (Mr D. T. Howe, of .Lower Hutt) said at the meeting that as the invitation; specified that a “fully representative team” would be welcome, the invitation appeared acceptable.
