Stranger fresh rival for Tulak

The Wingatui jockey, A. K. Robinson, improved a successful association with D. J. Thistoil's Riccarton stable in winning the Hornby High-weight on Tulak on Sa»urday. Robinson won high-weights at Trentham on Flower Girl and Pseudonym for the stable last ’ year and teamed successfully with Tulak in the Ashley Hack Handicap at the last New Zealand Cup meeting. Tulak and Robinson will combine again in the corresponding race at Riccarton on Wednesday. Tulak has gone, up 41b to 9-8 but the step up from nine furlongs to a mile and quarter will suit him more than several of the others. Tulak’s stablemate, Pseudonym, will also run in the high-weight on Wednesday, but Thistoll had not engaged a rider for him yesterday.
