WOMEN’S CRICKET
Hagley well placed Hagley was in a good position to gain first-innings points against St Albans H at the end of the first day’s play in the second last round of the senior women’s cricket competition on Saturday. St Albans H made 115 in its first innings and at stumps Hagley was 71 without loss. Hagley has yet to win a match this season. St Albans I was in a good position against Western at stumps. Scores were:— Senior St Albans II 115 (A. Mallns 51, S. Rattray 31; R. Murray 4/32, P. Reynolds 1/6), Hagley 71/0 (R. Murray retired hurt 18, H. Kirk 19 not out, O. Williams 19 not out). St Albans 1 220 (J. Hamilton i6l, J. Duncan 29 not out, K. iGilray 28, E. Luckett 24, M. Alabaster 23, S. Vaughan 25; E. i Rouse 3/48, S. Cowles 2/35. H. (Warren 2/51), Western 34/2 i (Rouse 10, Cowles 14 not out, • Warren 4 not out; Vaughan 'l/16, Gilray Vl2). intermediate P.I.C.C. 78 (T. Tuia 26, A. ■ Fanini 11, S. Serafo 10; S. Roberts 6/30, J. Lee 4/36) and 8/0 (Tuia 8 not out) beat Mia Moa 76 (J. Schrader 35, J. ; Stewart 10; M. Slave 6/38, S. iVaiaso 3/34) and 103/4 declared '(Stewart 27, Lee 21, Roberts 18 not out, L. Jones 18 not out) on the first innings.
