Offers made to Deacon
(N.Z. Press Association) ■ AUCKLAND. W G. Deacon, the Waikato and New Zealand second-row Rugby league forward, may play his football in Auckland this year. “I have had three offers from clubs but have not made any firm commitments, and am unlikely to for at least another few weeks,” said Deacon in a telephone conversation from Ngaruawahia last night. The three clubs which have approached the rangy Waikato forward are Ponsonby, Point Chevalier and MarisL
