(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) ,* BANGALORE (India) The Indian cricket board of* control yesterday decided that Indian cricketers playing" abroad would not be selected for the national team unless they took part in Ranji or Duleep Trophy matches, at home. The decision bars players such as the Lancashire wicket-keeper, Farokh Engineer, from selection for the forthcoming tours of the West Indies and England. At a special meeting in Bangalore, the board also agreed to play a festival match in Bombay next year, to commemorate the centenary of Ranji’s birth. Overseas cricketers, particularly jfrom Ranji’s English county, j Sussex, would be invited to take part.
