(N Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 23. The proposed United States Trade Act of 1970 allowing the imposition of quotas on many products, including several New Zealand exports to the United States has! been attacked by the American Chamber of Commerce in New Zealand (Amcham),; according to a statement by'
its president (Mr C. W. Campbell). The chamber, in a letter to Senator Russell B. Long, chairman of the United States Senate Committee on Finance, submitted that the measure ran counter to recent 'statements by President j Nixon and members of the ; Administration in favour of 'international economic diplomacy and the freedom of I world trade. ,
